This tank has a couple flaws to take into consideration. The first is that the glass dividers do not sit directly against the walls of the tank, and within hours, one of my bettas learned he could stick his face into his neighbor's compartment. My other issue is the lack of space to put a filter. Deep Blue's website recommended their nano power filter, which I purchased, but the glass lid has no plastic cutouts of which to fit a filter into. Other than that, I am very happy with the tank. This product is second to none. I've never found a rimmed aquarium with better quality. It is durable, has a low iron glass in the front at least (Better quality) and it is an extremely unique in shape.This is a great tank for shrimp, inverts, but it is poor for most fish. Especially don't try to keep 5 bettas in this tank.... That is an extreme mistake. The glass panels inbetween are useful for some things, but not keeping multiple bettas. You must attach filtration, cycle the tank through the nitrogen cycle and test your water quality with an API master test kit. Bettas need at least 1 gallon of water each, minimum. But it is recommended you keep them in 5 gallon aquariums. Best of luck, and I do recommend this tank. |
